The Harbor-UCLA Medical Center Foundation, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization established in 2024 to provide financial support to Harbor-UCLA Medical Center. Our mission is to help the hospital achieve its vision of becoming an inclusive health care organization—nationally recognized for innovative, community-engaged patient care, education, and research.

Mission & Commitments

The Foundation’s mission is to provide financial support to resources, foster community engagement, and promote equitable and accessible health and well-being for our community.   This includes the funding of individual patient care initiatives, staff education and development, and community education and outreach to support the hospital’s role in the community.

Partnerships

The Foundation’s commitment to fostering community engagement, and promoting equitable and accessible health and well-being creates a strong partnership with Harbor-UCLA Medical Center creates to support needs of the hospital’s patients, the professional development of the staff, and building relationships with the surrounding community.

Available Grants

The Foundation has invited submissions for funding requests for small projects that will enhance patient care, support patient needs, address psychosocial needs of patients, support provider or resident development, or enhance community partnerships.

In The Community

The Foundation also is supporting several community-focused events, such as the Annual Trauma Survivor Celebration, Back-to-School Kid’s Health Fair, and Cancer Survivor Celebration.

Helping our Own

Supports annual staff engagement and recognition activities, such as the annual Spring Carnival celebration and Holiday recognition events.

Staff Development Opportunities

Raising funds to create grants to assist staff seeking to enhance their professional development by seeking education and training opportunities, such as to become an RN, Lab, or Radiology Tech
